Any neglect of the elderly must be publicly condemned, said the Protector of Citizens Zoran Pasalic today, on the occasion of the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
The fight against violence against the elderly is not given enough attention, which is why the institution of the Protector of Citizens gives priority in its work to the protection of our fellow citizens who fall into this vulnerable category, emphasized Pasalic and called on the people to report all forms of violence and discrimination.
Sometimes we forget that old age is the inevitable destiny of us all and that only by caring and being dedicated to them do we show that we are a society that deserves to be called humane, pointed out Zoran Pasalic.
