The Protector of Citizens’ Secretariat, managed by the Secretary General, is responsible for professional services and administrative affairs. It became operational on 24 December 2007.

The employees of the Protector of Citizens’ Secretariat receive clients every business day from 9:00 to16:00 at 16 Deligradska Street in Belgrade. In spite of a large number of complaints and insufficient capacities of the Secretariat, not a single citizen who came within business hours (8:30 – 17:00) other than the aforementioned client reception hours has been denied assistance.
